Research

The excitement of research in uncovering the hidden principles that govern the structure and behavior of physical objects and phenomena creates an unparalleled learning environment for all undergraduate and graduate students. Our faculty and students are involved in doing theoretical and experimental research that extends over many major subareas of classical and modern physics. We believe that in the newer areas, interactions between the physics department and other departments are essential to jumpstart interdisciplinary research efforts and provide a strong framework for collaboration to tackle problems of interest to science and the community.
