The Department of Physics offers four academic programs
leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Physics, Physics major/
Mathematics minor, Physics major/ Computer Science minor, and Physics
major/ Electronics minor. The Department also offers a minor
in Physics.
- Students must successfully
complete and obtain a cumulative average of 70% in PHYS 111, 141 and
132.
- Students must successfully
complete and obtain a cumulative average of 65% in MATH 132 and MATH
141.
- Department approval is based on
intake capacity.

Program Requirements
Students must successfully complete a minimum of 65
credit hours of courses distributed as follows:
- Core courses in Physics and Mathematics (53
credit hours):
- PHYS 112, 211, 212, 231, 232,
331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336, 411, 430, 431,432, 433,436; MATH 231,
234, 331; CHEM 112.
- Elective courses (12 credit hours):
- (3 credit hours):
Math 330 or Math 332 or Math 434.
- (9 credit hours):
Three Physics courses not listed above.
